Portway Dental Practice has looked after the Wythenshawe community for over 50 years, working from 40 Portway in south Manchester and drawing patients from Altrincham, Hale, Heald Green and Timperley. Now a five-surgery practice run by principal Dr Mohammad Umar Sharif, it provides NHS, private and emergency dentistry with a stated mission to combat dental phobia and promote preventative care. Nervous patients are a particular concern, and the team sets out core values of integrity, compassion and team spirit, promising to be open about treatment options and costs.
